So far so good. Though they don't have auto pay setup yet and when I got the auto email to 'renew' the renew button didn't work. I sent an email letting them know then forgot about it. A week later my server was cut off. I contacted them and instead of making sure my server got back up they said they were building out a new server with some fixes. I had to wait a day for this to happen. I didn't ask them to set me up in the meantime, but I didn't feel like I should of had to ask. Other than that, it's hard to beat their prices.

CGS are amazing. They are wonderful with their prices and their features. The negatives are their support. It takes them a long time to get back to me for simple questions. Once they make more profit money they should really look forward to hiring more support. I mean it's not that hard to do and it can't be that expensive.

Also, these people are nuts, they are giving away a 5 day full refund!!
On their half it's really stupid and clients could take advantage of it. But for customers it's awesome.

Servers Are horrible reg, bad lag. Way oversold and the owner won't issue a refund. He just trys to bribe you by upgrading your server free. I had 7 people in my server and it crashed. I wouldn't recommend this GSP for anyone. I wouldn't have been as upset if he even could have issued me with credit but he can't refund what so ever. Buy from this company if you want a horrible server.

This game server provider is one of the best I've ever used. With their prices, you can get an amazing deal for an amazing price. Currently I have a Counter-Strike: Source 100 tickrate match server for my team, located in Chicago, and have not yet experienced any lags or downtime.

Any questions I have had, were answered within a decent amount of time, they have friendly support service as well. The control panel is TCAdmin, which pretty much anybody can figure out.

Registration - Not one time did I hear anybody we played or on my team complain about poor registration.

Uptime - One downtime which was caused by somebody who crashed my server which I then restarted and was fixed. (angry team we be beat)

Stable pings - Highest ping I saw so far was 150 which is somebody located in Australia, a west-team all had under 90 pings.

This is a great company, and I hope to stay with them for quite some time.

If you want cheap server, this is the place to be.
If you want rude support, this is the place to be.
If you want bad quality, this is the place to be.
If you want slow CP, this is the place to be.

A total rip off, and I think its planned that way. I think this guy is operating out of his own home off a DSL modem, it is so bad. The guy sells at a bargain basement price, but don't actually have the bandwidth to host the gameservers they sell, because most gameservers never get used or near full, so who will notice. Well I noticed, because my game server is always halfway to all the way full.

They are 20x oversold and just don't have the bandwidth to support gameservers at all. I rented a gameserver from them, paid immediately for 3 months, they set it up, and it was completely unplayable for the entire 3 months. It did a lot of damage to my servers reputation, people were complaining about it left and right about how impossible it was to play on, and they left in droves. I fortunately had kept my previous server up with a different company (hostilecontact.com) and they flocked back to it. My players would just ignore the CheapGameServers.com server as unusable. The lag was so impossibly bad, imaging trying to play in a slow motion silent movie that kept dropping frames. They just don't have an understanding of the bandwidth required to host a gameserver.

I complained and he said it was 'the hardware', and he'd be upgrading the server soon, so he'd put my account on hold. He didn't, he left the meter running and after 3 months it expired. I essentially got nothing for my money.

If you absolutely are hell bent on trying them, rent the smallest server for one month, try and fill it up, and you will find out for sure.

As an admin, these gameserver companies that provide TCAdmin access alone to start and stop a gameserver, are on the way out. In todays world, where you need to setup IPsec security rules to block IPs from people doing denial of service attacks against your server, you need full Remote Desktop access to your server. It is such a boon to to actually be able to see whether your game server actually launched, and if not, see the error dialogs it displays and hangs on when it crashes. I told him this, and explained it in detail, but like all anal retentive little game server companies, he waffled and said it was out of the question.

I took my business elsewhere and my servers now run happily on VPS's that have enough bandwidth and CPU power so they never lag.

No host is without some problems but thanks to the frendly support i was able to have cheap good servers for all my games. Defently worth checking out if you are starting a group or clan or just need a cheap host that is good for money

At first I was really excited to have a server for our scrim team to practice and match on and when the first day went everything was fine. However after that the server would not stop lagging. It was a complete mess. No one in their right mind could play on this server. If you want my opinion I say no. Spend 5-10 dollars more and get a better and more stable server. I know I will. Because this is just retarded.

This company has the best pricing you will find anywhere. While the servers used to crash, they now have excellent stability. The person who runs the company has experience with the server setup and maintenance. This is my 4th sentence.

The host is terrible, on my gmod server without any props or other players than me i got over 180 ping, the customer support is the worse i ever seen, 1 week and still no answer.

The CP is OK, not good but it could have been worse.

it´s very cheap but it wouldn´t even been worth it if it costed 1$ a month, you don´t have any use of this host, AT ALL.

got a l4d2 server from them - i had a dods server and when l4d2 came out had it switched. He didn't have it on the servers already but downloaded it and put it up there for me. The turnaround was reasonable (1 1/2 days) being that he didn't have it advertised on his website and it was right at Christmas.

Price - excellent - cant beat it

Support - I do believe its a one man show- that said for these prices you cant expect 5min turnarounds - if you want that you will have to pay considerably more. In general the support tickets are responded to within a couple hours which is more than fine with me at their prices.

quality - i'm actually suprised - after being with gameservers.com(pub), leetservers (match), and nfo (match) i would say they are better than gameservers.com by far, but not as good as match servers provided leet. I didn't expect it to be tho - i'm not paying for 500fps and true 100tick. I just wanted this to pub around with some friends and not have to worry about lag spikes or shaky in game play and it does a great job.

features - its the standard tcadmin control panel - it works fast and i have no problems with it. can edit cfgs, update, restart, etc.

overall i'm very satisfied with the server and would recommend for any pub situation.

Price is awesome cheap.Quality is kind of horrible when my server is full,which only 10+ slots. Support is ya,sure.

These people are awesome! I have been renting from them for the past three months. They did have slow responce time when it came to support, but they seem to have hired more people to help with that. They usually get back to me the same day now. Best of all they are so cheap. Most of their game servers are $0.75 per public slot, their servers also come with a free website and free TeamSpeak. Even better if you buy 2 months at a time, you get 20% off. I give them 10 out of 10. Great job, keep up the good work.

Server Quality:
I live in California and the server runs as smooth as possible. My friends kept asking me how much I payed for the server and once I told them $12 they were in shock. Great quality for your needs.

Customer Support:
Their customer support seems as if they have a short staff. The response varied from short to long and even longer. It's definitely not 24/7 but if it was I'd be paying more servers from them. It seems their short staff is the only thing hurting them from being elite.

Features:
Their features are nice and laid out for you once you visit the main page. TCAdmin helps a lot as well.

The server quality was great. We experienced no lag, but once or twice I did see a ping increase by 20. The registry was fine, and the uptime was great as well. Customer support was not 24/7, but it was rather fast... not like some other companies. The control panel, which is TcAdmin, was easy to use, and the billing system was rather well-formatted.

The price? Best part, it's extremely affordable.. bang for your buck.

I have been searching for game servers that were worth my money. I stumbled over CGS and felt as if it was a scam site. Their cheap prices were just astonishing. I got in touch with the owner and decided to order a 16 slot server. I currently run a fun server for cs 1.6 and it is absolutely no hassle for me.

I've Been with CGS for 2 months now and their service is just great. They have friendly support and great promotions.

Since I was just starting out with servers I decided to get a really cheap one to help me get started. The pricing - well that couldn't be beat. Customer support was beyond what I thought. Even though one person might run the business, I still get speedy responses(except weekends which is typical). When my first server got up it had a problem. It wouldn't run no matter what I did, as it turned out, it had a corrupted server.cfg file. Support fixed this problem immediately and added a complimentary day to my contract.

Later another problem arose, somehow without altering files, although another admin (I made a subuser) may have, The server got switched to public from its original state of private (I chose this because it was cheaper). Support took over the weekend which I didn't mind and today everything was up and running. Support had switched it over to public free of charge.

The quality of the server is decent, i usually get 100 - 150 ping which is usually what I end up getting in game anyway. One ping spike hit 500 but remarkably I didn't face any lag until another user joined the server. Also server uptime only seems limited to how long YOU want it to be up. So far it seems that the server runs until you turn it off, Which is very nice if you have a group that plays into the early hours of the morning but you, yourself are early to bed.

In the future I will DEFINITELY consider renting from Cheap Game Servers again. But I may look toward other places as well. CGS is a great company to rent from if you really want a server but find that money is hard to come by. They also offer contracts of 30days 60days(10% off) and 90days(20% off)

The interface could be a little better, it took some time to figure out where exactly I had to go to do *Insert Task* I am getting more comfortable as time goes on. I also love the idea of remote server access, this is because I know some people who run servers on their own computers and it takes them forever to finish downloading all the files and stuff. This means they can only update the server on that one computer. However with Cheap Game Servers and remote access, you can alter your server however you want it, on any computer at any time you want

The price is very very cheap. Custom Support is okay, sometimes slow, and answer is not what you want. Server gets lag once the server is full, ping gets high.

A total rip off. Ignore all the positive reviews, they are written by the guy running it, trying to counter admins trying to alert other admins what a total rip this guy is. And the servers are not cheap, considering you don't get anything at all for your money. The process on the VPS he sets up doesn't have enough bandwidth or CPU processor to even run one player on it... its unplayable... because he is so oversold. I bought the $60 for 3 month deal thinking if I paid in advance, I'd realize the most savings - what a rip, I basically lost it all and ended up with a VPS that couldn't server no player would touch with a ten foot pole, and I can't blame them.

If you are fool enough to ignore these negative posts, and want to take a flyer, I suggest you rent the absolute smallest cheapest offering out for one money. Better to lose $10 and find out for sure, than buy in advance like I did and lose $60 for nothing.

Two years later, I've become spoiled to having full windows remote desktop access to my game server, and you pretty much need it to run a modded server. You just can't do jack with even the best game server companies, you have to explain everything to them... how to setup an ftp server so you can upload files, how to turn file locking off on the .exe files so you can upload the demo game versions of them, etc. Sometimes it took me a month explaining it all to the more techincally retarded ones. If thats the experience with the best, you can imagine trying to setup with the worst is like... impossible. Get a real remote windows access to your server machine or VPS and forget all this CPANEL garbage, where you can't even tell if your game server is for real running or not or the processor died, or it won't restart it at all (CPANEL says, oh everything is happy, when its not, it has no clue). To keep your game server running, spend a few bucks on Process Lasso and use the keep process running feature in the full version, it works like a charm and is cheap and even restarts your server after a VPS reboot.

This is the best host out there. THEY ARE HAVING A SALE NOW A PUBLIC SLOT IS 50 CENTS AND A PRIVATE SLOT IS 25 CENTS. Low prices and good service. They are remarkable with the way the economy is. GREAT BUY.
